Unidentified Commodore Experiment
Randomly found this, not really sure what Krokko had in mind with it, I guess that some kind of 303 inspired application for the C= 64 judging from the filenames and the way he twiggles the knobs with the cutoff and resonance? filter. The line of basic displayed confuses me even more... =)
So, no idea about the software used and the actual goal of this experiment or whatever it is...
Just have a look at these videos and ponder yourself... if you want. =) Any ideas ???
According to getlofi.com "...it looks like a poke to a certain memory spot triggers a pulse and somehow the 2 added potentiometers create an RC filter circuit that uses the COM data lines. Strange yes, cool definitely.."

That piece of basic reads the paddle Y value and writes it to the SID voice 2 pitch - It means you can control the pitch of the tone with a paddle.

You're hearing cutoff and pulse width being modulated in the other clip. Amongst the many C64 things I have, a couple of machines feature paddles and/or pots for controlling things live...
Using the 303 is somewhat misleading though (and so often repeated by these newcomers trying to make their projects sound more impressive).
